At Chan Dat, our workshops are more than just skill-building classes; they are "open spaces" where individuals practice reconnecting with themselves and the world around them. We believe that knowledge only truly comes alive when it is touched by the senses and reflected through a personal lens.
Mirroring the spirit of our Podcast, each workshop is a journey from theory to experimental practice:
Cosmology & Yin-Yang: We utilize Eastern wisdom—such as the laws of Yin-Yang and Cosmology—as scientific tools to decode one’s personal energy map. Moving away from superstition, these sessions are dialogues intended to help us understand the natural rhythms of the universe, thereby fostering self-compassion and a deeper tolerance for the world.
Heritage & Cultural Mixology: A blend of professional mixology techniques and stories of local ingredients. Here, the appreciation of a drink becomes an act of mindfulness, where participants learn to honor manual processes and the storytelling creativity behind every heritage-inspired cocktail.
Experimental Art: Spontaneous explorations of music and happening art designed to awaken one’s natural sensory perception. Without the barriers of formal technique, we emphasize the complete presence of the individual in the moment to evoke the purest form of aesthetic feeling.
Each workshop serves as a miniature "circle of understanding." Chan Dat acts as both a spatial curator and a sincere companion, helping ancient wisdom from books become a living part of an existential lifestyle.
The sharing session "The Philosophy of Yin-Yang and the Five Elements – From Wine to Human Personality" brought everyone so many fascinating experiences. Together, we explored the world of Eastern philosophy through vivid illustrations, then wonderfully discovered a magical intersection while savoring Nu Comme Un Verre wine, cultivated through sustainable farming in France's Bordeaux region. The highlight was undoubtedly when each person discovered their own Yin-Yang and Five Elements nature based on their birth year – so many surprises and exciting insights about personal energy and character were uncovered! How fascinating is that?!
What Chan Dat is always passionate about is creating these multi-sensory experiences – where foundational scientific knowledge beautifully merges with historical culture and practical, applicable skills. From the cozy space of our little reading room in Hoi An, we believe that learning can start from the simplest yet most profound things.
In Chan Dat's worldview, Tu Vi Astrology is an applied reflection of three great philosophies: Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism. It systematically and strategically develops each individual's essence. We hope that through the journey of sharing this series of Introduction to Tu Vi Astrology, we can spread some of the profound aspects of Eastern Culture. This fosters self-connection and creates cultural bridges with friends both domestically and internationally.
Let's relive the beautiful moments of this journey with Chan Dat and the Namia Resort 's teamleaders !
In an era of many fluctuations, self-awareness is the "compass" that helps each person avoid losing their way. If approached scientifically and without superstition, Fate Calculation (Tử vi) can help us explore hidden personality traits, behavioral tendencies (through the stars in the Destiny/Body palaces), reflect on important life stages (e.g., the Lưu Hạn star in opposition), and compare with reality to adjust one's way of living—not for rigidly predicting the future.
For Chân Đất, whether through Fate Calculation, psychology, meditation... the ultimate goal remains to understand oneself more deeply, to live more proactively and peacefully amidst chaos.
Let’s take a look at a review of one of Chân Đất's online workshops!

The Art of Narrative Mixology
Within the intimate setting of Chân Đất, this workshop transcended the typical mixology class to become a bespoke educational journey. Guided by the decade-long expertise of Đinh Tất Đạt, our boutique classroom—or studium—transformed the bar into a space where "spirits" were explored not just as alcohol, but as a medium for soulful storytelling. Guests moved beyond simple recipes, learning to balance professional techniques with the delicate, curated inspiration drawn from the heritage of the Old Town.
Curated Heritage & Local Terroir
A central pillar of the experience was the mindful selection of premium local ingredients, grounding international craft in Vietnamese roots. Participants explored the aromatic profiles of fresh botanicals from the ancient Trà Quế vegetable village, harmonized with artisanal spirits like Sông Cái and Rượu Ta. This curated approach celebrated the richness of local terroir, proving that traditional flavors can be elevated to global cocktail standards through a sophisticated and respectful lens.
A Boutique Connection
True to the Chân Đất philosophy of slow, high-quality learning, the session culminated in a hands-on workshop where each guest hand-crafted two signature cocktails tailored to their own palate. The afternoon drifted into a refined communal tasting, paired with artisanal light snacks and flowing conversations about Hoi An’s cultural evolution. It was a moment of quiet connection and shared knowledge, embodying the essence of a boutique learning space where every detail is intentionally crafted to inspire.
